Hello,
the statement from Eva S. is not correct.
Austria allows B class driving license holders to ride a bike up to 125cc after holding a driver's license uninterrupted for 5 years, BUT one has to complete a course of 6 hours and then will get a special code into his driving license. Without this code (simply a "111" into the row of the class B) the austrian policeman cannot determine, if the course of 6 hours was completed and holding the driver's license was uninterrupted for 5 years. So the policeman will only look for the code 111 in the driver's license.
Even Austrians are not allowed to ride a bike (125cc) without having the code "111" in their license.
The statement from Eva S. is not written in german (or english) and only a few austrian policeman will understand it. Try to get this statement in german (or english). But, as I said before, the statement is not correct and every policeman knows this. But it is easier to argue, when beeing stopped by a policeman
On the other side: Police checks are rare in Austria. Most of them are during the night or on weekdays.
Greetings form
Austria
